Semi for Detached

There's another right beast of a techno night coming up in Leeds next week (Sat 9th Oct). I shall definitely be in attendance, and if any of the UK-based homies fancy it, feel free to hit me up for accommodation and the like. I'll bring the 140s.

Detatched (excuse the misspelling, but that's how the organisers misspell it. Imagine misspelling the name of your own night... muppets. However, they do know a thing or two about techno, so we'll try to forgive them.)

BAS MOOY
ANCIENT METHODS live + dj sets
RADIAL live
NICK DUNTON live/dj
MIKE HUMPHRIES live
HORIZONTAL GROUND live/dj

Ancient Methods were responsible for the outstanding ssgmix 'Fashion is not a part of it' from last year, get it from mnmlssg.blogspot.com if you haven't already. Rumbling Birmingham-sound techno brought bang up to date by two geeks from Berlin. Bob on.

Mike Humphries used appear fairly regularly at The Orbit, goes by various pseudonyms, including H and Cold Dust (with Jon Nuccle) and ran the label Red Seal. There's a few of his tracks on the quite frankly fucking ridiculous 'Fuse Presents... Dave Clarke' mix. Old school Leeds crew innit. Proper banging.

Horizontal Ground is one of the more interesting new labels to have appeared with the current resurgence in real techno and is responsible for the mysterious and excellent faceless-techno-bastard series by 19.454.18.5.25.5.18 and his labelmates
19.26.1.18.5, et al. Dunno who will be representing the label, but it should be beaut regardless.

This is one of my favourite slow-burn creeping bangers. Watch out for that snare - someone's going to lose an eye/finger if they're not careful:
