This is the first interview I've heard with the big man, and he's pretty interesting. As is Dave Pearce in fact (despite looking well downsy in the promo pic) reminiscing about going down to the Paradise Garage at 5am to interview Gwen Guthrie and such - some time in early 80s I guess. An interview with the god-like genius Dimitri from Paris on RA's Exchange series. Another interesting exploration of the late disco/early house scene, with a French twist this time. Available from the RA website now. There's quite a few in that series that look interesting at the mo, have a browse.
I'm rather liking this wee mix from the somewhat dodgily-named Frenchman, Jay Weed. Grab it from Fact here: factmag.com/2011/05/13/fact-mix-247-jay-weed/. House music with a dubstep soundscape aesthetic, insofar as the likes of Rhythm & Sound et al make either house or dubstep. Quite tasty anyway.
