Ahoy

This goes out to Tulley and his Dad for infecting my mind and ears with Surf music from an early age.

This is the opening sequence to the movie "Wild Angels" featuring the song "Blues Theme" by Davie Allen and the Arrows.

  1. Haha nice one. yeah my Dad definitely deserves some credit, I still remember when I came in from school and he told me he'd been listening to Beat Patrol on Radio Scotland and had heard some music which was 'like old surf music, only fast and punky' and had written down the names 'man or astroman' and 'huevos rancheros' on a bit of paper which he handed to me. Bringing me up listening to Sabbath, Zeppelin, Purple, the Doors and Queen is also to his credit. if you ever read this Dad, don't get too full of yourself you old git.

Davie Allen rules by the way, never really gets the credit for inventing the sixties fuzz guitar sound but he pretty much did. maybe if he'd made some music which was up it's own arse and pretended to be deep he'd have been really famous, instead of making fun tunes about biker gangs. Speaking of which, nothing beats the classic lame British version of the Biker movie, the awesome PYCHOMANIA where zombie bikers rip it up in some rubbish new town that looks like Cumbernauld. Watch it here

  3. Yeah I got those, Joe Meek is a legend. The mn gave us Telstar for christ sake. Have you seen the film they made about him? I love the fact that he was completely tone deaf . . .
