Ahoy here!
I've been meaning to post on the blog for a good while now. Most of you probably know me, but for reasons unknown my name is Duke Yowie. Please find attached the first copy of my solo efforts recorded between 2001 and 2010. Recently my computer blew up, and I lost a lot of my work, about 200 tracks or so. Some of it was already retained in digital and tape format. (At the time windows 2000 was very stable) So this is a selection of what pieces I have left. I have been trying to compile it all for a while using various mixing methods, but I just want to draw a line. It's really just a fucked up mess. So here it is "Es Fs Ts" (Other people are fucking assholes") compressed into just under 40 minutes.

Nice one Merv! Glad to have you here and posting . .slightly disappointed to see that the epic 'The Misty Moors of Scotland' isn't on here, perhaps you can post it some other time, it's quite literally the greatest tune ever recorded by a Scotsman. I'm also a big fan of the tag 'jizzwave'

Captain Fireball, I shall post Misty Moors... perhaps on Halloween... I thought Grudges to the Grave was in a similarish vein. It's got satanic undervibes. I hung microphones oot the window and down the close while recording Grudges to the Grave to capture reactions.. There was a crowd of people who stopped outside the close. I think they were scared. It was very loud. Generally used a lot of bad samples in the trax, captured using dictaphones, - boybands, terrorists, evil shit, friends talking shit, stories about tortoises with no legs, etc.
ReplyDeleteIt's really just a selection of pieces though, and I don't think it flows well. It's really all over the place. I'm gonna have another play around with ma stuff. Plan was to just put it on tape, since a lot of it already was, but the 4 track is burst.
