Bob Hocko & The Swamp Rats

The Swamp Rats were one of the most demented, unhinged and fuzzed-out bands this side of the Sonics. It's no surprise that they covered "Psycho," The trio utilized twin fuzzed guitars, drums and no bass for a primal sound that few could match.

  1. Im sure this was an 'art school' classic. In fact it just instantly gives me the feeling of poor attempts at pulling.

    You not dj in there?

  2. I reckon the originals of these tunes, by the Sonics and the Kingsmen, were definitely Art School downstairs classics. I almost miss the Art School more than other clubs in Glasgow, just because it was where you went when you had no other good ideas, so that was very often.

I've also not been barred for life quite as many times from any other establishment as I have been from there. Also, when we are all old men, the Arches, the Subbie, everywhere else will probably be a distant memory, but the Art School and it's union will most likely still be going...
