Lynchian techno

Well who'd have thunk it? David Lynch goes electronic.

“I was just sitting and these notes came and then I went down and started working with Dean [Hurley, his engineer] and then these few notes, ‘I want to have a good day, today’ came and the song was built around that,”

David Lynch - Good Day Today [Original] by Sunday Best

Appropriately weird indeed.

  1. No surprise he's managed to produce something pretty good and appropriately weird. Really carries a lot of the same elements and character of his sound tracks which is beaut to hear. Id buy, yes buy, an album when and if he produces one but expect some ear-bleeding weirdness for around half of it but I wouldn't want it any other way.

  2. It's a testament to my love for David Lynch that I actually listened to that all the way through. Can't say it does much for me. David Lynch could bring out an album of his own farts played backwards and I'd still swear that the sun shines directly out of his arse mind you.

I really like the stuff he's done with guitars like the Bluebob album, and the songs he recorded for the Inland Empire soundtrack - Was well surprised at the quality of his vocals

  3. I heard this the other day and thought it was mince. I still do. As you say though, who gives a fuck - he's David Lynch.
